The Drinking coffee in moderation linked to lower diabetes, heart disease risk |
Moderate consumption of coffee and caffiene on a regular basis may help prevent cardiometabolic multimorbidity — or the co-occurrence of cardiometabolic diseases — which includes conditions such as type 2 diabetes, coronary heart disease, and stroke, a new study suggests.
The research, published in the Endocrine Society’s Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism, examined data from the UK Biobank, which is a broader database feature the health information of more than 500,000 people between the ages of 37 and 73.

Proven Ways To Save Your Marriage
In their newest book, three DU psychology professors break down how to avoid divorce using the basics of happy, communicative relationships.
Need a wedding gift for a happy couple in your life?
Well, look no further—psychology professor Galena Rhoades has the perfect idea: her latest book, “Fighting for Your Marriage: Positive Steps for Preventing Divorce and Building a Lasting Love.”
The idea of “preventing divorce” and “fighting for your marriage” before it has even begun may seem like putting the cart before the horse, but Rhoades likens the book to a “how-to” handbook for relationships.

Generation X Is Turning 60, and Many Can’t Afford to Retire
Many Americans born between 1965 and 1980, often referred to as Gen X, are facing shortfalls in savings as they approach the traditional retirement age. Wall Street Journal reporter Hannah Miao joins host J.R. Whalen to discuss why they are in a worse position than the previous generation’s baby boomers were at the same age.

37% Of Recruiters Say Job Hopping Is A Red Flag In 2024—But Is It?
We all know the quickest way to get a raise is job hopping. But experts don’t agree on the benefits of jumping from one job to another. The younger Gen Zers have no qualms with job hopping if they believe their health and wellness needs are not met. In April of this year, I wrote for Forbes.com that some experts believe job hopping can be a powerful career move when conducted in a strategic way. But a recent study concludes that hiring managers say job hopping is a red flag. |
Job Hopping As A Red Flag
According to a recent LinkedIn survey of 1,024 hiring managers, 54% say they want candidates who are committed to learning and upskilling. Almost half (48%) report that they give extra consideration to candidates who can start as soon as possible and 40% to candidates who are willing to work in the office full time.
