A few weeks ago I read a book and interviewed the author about Birth orders.. It really is fascinating how much your birth order affects every aspect of your life.
So I asked Dr Hurst author of Your Lifes Fingerprint for an article so you can better understand this important concept and how it affects each of us.</sup>

 ^{Everyone has a Birth Order but did you know YOUR “Real” Birth Order has everything to do with all the decisions you make in life? Why learn about Birth Order?}

^{You can find your best friend, understand your children, parents and siblings, find the love of your life and understand your boss and co-workers. In simplest terms, birth order is your number of birth in your family from oldest to youngest. Finding your “Real” number depends on the dynamics in your family.}

^{Some things you must consider: sibling rivalry, spacing between siblings, the death of a sibling, large spaces between individuals and groups of siblings, multiple births i.e. twins, blended families, and cultural influences. Once you know your “Real” birth order you will understand why you are the way you are and how you react to others. Each birth order has a set of personality characteristics.}

^{The Only child is self-assured, first born wants to be in charge, second born wants to control their own space, third born loves groups and recognizes the world’s problems, and the fourth born is the baby and wants to party. This is just the outline, there is so much more. Double Birth Orders happen when there are four or more years between siblings}

^{. The older sibling is away at school while the younger sibling gets the nurturing and attention at home that an Only children would receive. This is why we add the Only characteristics to your number when there are four of more years between siblings. This amplifies, magnifies, and intensifies all the birth order characteristics of your number. If you are “Caught in the Middle” then you must find the “True” birth order of your parent’s now in their advanced years, to know how to approach them and who in the family is best to take care of them.}
