HEALTH - Revealed: the popular medications harmful to your health if you take them after their expiration date

Is it too early for spring cleaning?

You may want to check the expiration dates on your medicine cabinet products — with some experts saying outdated pills will harm your health.

“Depending on the product, it can be dangerous to use them after their expiry date,” pharmacist Deborah Grayson told the Daily Mail.

“While some are more worrying than others, always be on the safe side and check that your pills and creams are in date before using them.”

YOUR MARRIAGE

Divorce rates hit record low in the US as marriage trends shift

WASHINGTON (TNND) — Divorce rates in the United States have reached a historic low, with only 1.4% of married adults getting divorced in 2023, according to a Pew Research analysis of Census data. This marks a significant decrease in divorce rates, influenced by generational differences in marriage trends.

Professor Philip Cohen from the University of Maryland explained in his analysis that Millennials and Generation X are more selective than previous generations, often choosing to marry later in life. "Marriage is more and more an achievement of status, rather than something that people do regardless of how they’re doing," Cohen told Bloomberg. This contrasts with Baby Boomers, who typically married young and experienced higher rates of divorce and remarriage.

FINANCE AND INVESTING TIPS FOR THE SANDWICH GENERATION

Four Financial Steps That Can Help the Sandwich Generation Cope
The “sandwich generation” refers to middle-aged adults who are challenged with supporting their own children and aging parents financially, physically or both. Many individuals, particularly members of Gen X, may be experiencing this phenomenon. In fact, a 2022 study from the Journal of the American Geriatrics Society found that there may be up to 2.5 million people in this situation in the United States.
Being stuck in the middle like this can place a lot of strain on your time, your finances and your mental health. It also may have an impact on your financial and personal plans for the future. As with most parts of life, being prepared, having a well-designed financial plan and understanding what resources are available to you can help.
